PTFE Teflon

PTFE is a plastic fluoropolymer with particularly versatile uses. It is suitable for a wide range of applications in various industries such as aerospace, the food and beverage industry, pharmaceuticals and telecoms.

PTFE plastics thinner than 2 mm are sold as films and in rolls 1000 mm or 1200 mm wide.

PTFE (Teflon) fabrics are available in thicknesses of 0.08 mm, 0.13 mm and 0.25 mm, both normal and adhesive.

Specifications :

  • Excellent thermal and electrical insulation properties
  • Low coefficient of friction
  • Suitable for food contact (FDA approved)
  • High chemical resistance
  • VO degree of flammability
  • No burning and adhesion on the applied surfaces
  • Wide temperature range (-250ºC – +260ºC)

Usage Areas :

  • Bearings
  • Bushings
  • Gears
  • Sliding plates
  • Piston rings
  • Bearings, gears
  • Food industry (due to its non-flammable and non-stick properties)
