2030 Grade Aluminium Alloy has been developed specifically for machining applications. It is famous for its excellent machining properties and short chips. Among the aluminium alloys suitable for high speed automatic lathes, the alloy with the highest mechanical properties is 2030. This alloy is usually chosen when a combination of good machinability and high mechanical properties is required. However, its resistance to corrosion is low.
