1.2080 Cold Work Tool Steel

1.2080 cold work tool steel is a high carbon cold work tool steel with tungsten addition with high carbon content. It is characterised by low ductility and brittleness, excellent wear resistance and very high hardness. It is mainly used in the manufacture of tools for punching, cutting and stamping metal sheets, as well as carriers, cutters, reamers, gauges, drawing dies and disc blades.

The addition of tungsten improves the hardenability of the grade, resulting in the possibility of higher hardness.
