Free Cutting Steel
Free cutting steels are one of the types of steel that contain more sulphur than carbon. Compared to steels with a higher proportion of carbon (containing a higher proportion of sulphur and phosphorus), automaton steels are easy to cut. The cutting process ensures that it is used in the manufacturing industry and maintains its popularity.
Free cutting steel products are also referred to (by some industries) as free machining steel.
