2011 Grade Aluminium Alloy is known as a free-machining alloy. The material has excellent machinability and is suitable for use in automatic lathes. 2011 Grade Aluminium Alloy shows poor corrosion resistance and therefore anodizing is required for additional surface protection. Weldability is also very poor, but 2011 Grade Aluminium Alloy is a versatile aluminium. With excellent machinability, the material can be used to produce highly complex and detailed parts.
