1.2344 Hot Work Tool Steel
1.2344 hot work tool steel shows good resistance to wear at both low and high temperatures. It is characterised by high levels of toughness and ductility, even and high levels of machinability and polishability. It shows good high temperature strength and resistance to thermal fatigue. It has excellent full hardening properties.
1.2344 steels are mainly used for forming extrusion dies. Typical applications include aluminium, magnesium, zinc, copper and aluminium extrusion dies, liners, shafts, pressure pad production.
